This concert offers a musical walk through almost a century and a half of Italian violin art, from the virtuosic baroque expressiveness of Pandolfi Mealli and the emotional depth of Marcello, to the stylistic perfection of Tartini and his successors. Vivaldi’s masterpiece from the La Stravaganza cycle reveals his bold harmony and lyrical imagination, while Nardini’s Sonata already signals the transition to classicism. The programme highlights the diversity of the Italian violin repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, with a special focus on Tartini’s influence and legacy.
