Programme 2026
Tartini Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary edition this year. The international summer music festival, dedicated to Piran’s native son, virtuoso and composer Giuseppe Tartini, has been bringing together musical heritage, artistic excellence and the unique atmosphere of Piran for a quarter of a century.
Every year, between August and September, it attracts lovers of culture and Baroque music from around the world, who experience unforgettable concert evenings in picturesque historic venues.
A new feature of this year’s festival is the festival pass, which gives visitors access to all nine concerts of the 25th Tartini Festival in Piran, as well as the free Tartini Junior concerts in Koper.
Tickets for individual concerts are also available.
Tartini's Original Violin
A distinctive feature of the festival is its authentic connection with Tartini’s legacy. At selected concerts, the original Tartini violin is heard, captivating audiences in the hands of outstanding musicians.
THE GREATEST VIOLINISTS OF HIS AGE
Giuseppe Tartini
He was one of the greatest violinists of his age, and was also very popular as a pre-classical composer and original music theoretician. His style was influenced by the baroque master Arcangelo Corelli, and he is counted among rococo composers because of his frequent use of trills and all sorts of ornaments in his music.
The medieval town of Piran
Piran
The old medieval town of Piran with its narrow streets and tightly packed houses has for centuries reigned over its namesake bay.
