ENSEMBLE 1756
Iveta Schwarz – violin
Florian Moser – violin
Milan Vrsajkov – cello
Konstantin Hiller – harpsichord
This programme brings together the finest works of three great violinists and Baroque masters – Giuseppe Tartini, Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber and Antonio Vivaldi – and reveals a rich range of Baroque violin expression, from deep emotion to virtuosic brilliance. We will hear, among others, Tartini’s legendary sonata “The Fairy Trill” and the moving “Didone Abbandonata”, Biber’s expressive Rosenkavalier Sonata and the dance-tinged Partita I, and Vivaldi’s imaginative Trio Sonata “La Follia”.
A special musical note is given by the fact that Iveta Schwarz will play on Jacobus Stainer’s master violin and Florian Moser on Giuseppe Tartini’s historic violin, the Nicolo amati from Bologna.
