Il Terzo Suono – the festival’s Baroque ensemble will perform the opening concert of the 24th Tartini Festival on historical instruments, with violinist Gianpiero Zanocco playing an original Tartini violin made by Nicolo Amati of Bologna. The focus will be on the musical dialogue between the two great masters of the Baroque, Vivaldi and Tartini, who each created an extraordinary artistic world on their respective sides of the Adriatic, but who were also deeply connected to the ideas, style and spirit of the time. The programme “Both Sides of the Adriatic” will be brought to life on Tartini’s violin, which adds symbolic power and authenticity to the concert and invites us back to an era when Venice and Piran spoke the same language of musical beauty.
